Extrema is a pioneering event promoter from the Netherlands, deeply rooted in house music culture since the early ’90s. In 2010, its flagship festival, Extrema Outdoor, expanded into Belgium - and 2025 marked the 15th anniversary of that milestone.
To celebrate the occasion, the creative concept turned toward Extrema’s origins. A nostalgic, ’90s-inspired aesthetic served as a counter-reaction to today’s hyper-polished, AI-influenced digital imagery. The result: a raw, gritty, and vibrant visual direction that embraces imperfection and character.
Designs feature aged textures, damaged paper backgrounds, and rough visual treatments. Imagery was edited across three custom gradient-mapped color schemes, enhanced with soft blur and diffuse glow effects - evoking the tactile feel of lo-fi print and analog techniques.
As with every edition, a full visual system was developed. Deliverables included a wide range of posters, print materials, digital assets, and social media templates - along with personalized artist artwork, wristbands, lanyards, passes, parking stickers, and other event essentials. A layered, expressive identity to mark 15 years of Extrema Outdoor Belgium.
