
To mark its 15th anniversary, Blend X was asked to develop a completely new brand and visual identity for Family (Piknik) Festival in Montpellier, France. The only condition, which also defined the challenge, was to include a flamingo as a key visual feature, one that has long been part of the festival’s identity.
In response, a visual direction was created that preserves the festival’s warm, familiar and organic character while reinterpreting it through a retro-futuristic lens. The result introduces a more forward-looking aesthetic and energy, creating a stronger connection to the bold, electronic nature of the music at its core: techno, hard techno and house.
This led to the evolution of the festival’s identity into a bolder, more contemporary direction, complemented by a new logo where past and future meet, blending organic and digital influences into one cohesive language that bridges the gap between the existing audience and a younger, more modern crowd.
Built on what already existed, but reinterpreted through a completely new lens, the identity sets the stage for the festival’s next chapter.
